Deliveries of Local Milk Return to Lewis
The constituency office of Na h-Eileanan an Iar SNP MSP Alasdair Allan was one of the first in Lewis to receive a delivery of fresh local milk for the first time since 2012.
Bragar-based business Brogaidh's Dairy, run by the MacKay family, began delivering milk today after recently passing the last set of tests from the Comhairle’s Environmental Health department.
Commenting, MSP said:
“It is fantastic that people in Lewis and Harris are now able to access local island milk for the first time since 2012.
“I know Gordon and Scott have been working tirelessly over the last four years and put in a significant amount of investment to get their farm up and running. They have brilliantly ambitions plans and I hope their business will help to generate some much needed economic activity in that area of Lewis.
“Congratulations to them, and I hope Brogaidh's Dairy goes from strength to strength in the years to come.”
